Also, if you are adjusting the current trim pot these are easily broken. If you over torque them then you can get them into a state that is either stuck really high or really low. You can test this by getting a small screw driver and SUPER gently turn the current pot until you feel the resistance to stop. If you never feel this resistance then you have over torqued this current pot and it is broken.

    Hope that helps.

David, We have 0 emails from you about this issue. Like Carl said send use an email there and we can get you going. See this thread:

Gaylord, The wiki is open and editing any inconsistencies would be greatly appreciated. Since you have written instructions already it would only be a little work to put them in the right place. Might I ask what you found lacking or wrong in our documentation? If you feel you have found a bug in TinyG you should open and issue on the github. We also accept pull requests if you want to fix the bug yourself.

    Thanks for using TinyG!

    @prariehome,

Well I was close to replying we have not got anything from you. However it looks like our contact us page died for no apparent reason. I re-did it tonight! Sorry about that. I tested it too.. We are getting emails now! ugh. So if you want to toss us an email we can respond and get you setup!

    Sorry again,

Great to hear you working again. Ummm you perhaps I am missing something but you have your switches set to normal closed. The cp widget probe tool has to be NO to complete the probe when touched. I think you are confusing tinyg as you start a cycle with a limit in the open position ?

Took a bit of doing. But it looks like we have a Win32 tg-updater release!

    https://github.com/synthetos/TinyG-Updater/releases/download/v0.6.1/tinyg-updater-Windowsx86_0.6.1.zip

Check it out! Open issues on GH if it does not work. I used it on my win32 windows 8 box and it ran awesome. The auto reset does not always work. So you can always hit the reset button on the tinyg to get it into bootloader mode and then hit “ok” to start the update.

Let me know how this works.

    All,

Talked to @leversole on the phone. I think this may be an issue with the fuses that were set incorrectly. Going to get him a new board and take a look at the old board.

    All,

Did you try the new updater?

    Specifically these:

    https://github.com/synthetos/TinyG-Updater/releases/tag/v0.6.1

Also, you can try auto reset. However what I did was just click “reset” on the board then tried to hit ok to start flashing.

One of the broken boards I got in the mail had nothing wrong as far as I could tell. Everything looked right howerver the board was in bootloader mode. I think it was in this mode because there was not flash (aka tinyg.hex) on the board. I used the new updater from my mac and it totally worked.

The other board I got that was stuck in a bootloader loop has its lockbits set. I am not even sure how this could have happened as the customer says he does not have an MKII programmer. Either way please try out the new updaters.

If this does not work go here:

    Contact Us

In the message you write to us just reference this is a “bad flash” and we will respond and get you a new board asap!
