KeymasterGreat!
We will keep looking at this. I think Alden and Rob (primary devs on TinyG) suspect where this is occurring at. However I will talk some more with them.
Thanks for the great video’s this is the kind of troubleshooting that really helps us understand and get to the root cause more quickly!

KeymasterI just tried this but I am not fully understanding what it is you are seeing. Also can you post the gcode that is “resetting” your x an y at the end of the job?
If you would not mind. Could you make another post detailing how to reproduce this exact bug? Also please detail what you think should be happening.
Thanks and sorry for your issues. We will do our best to get this fixed asap.

KeymasterAlden and I each have a similar grizzly. Do you have sources for some of these parts? I am a bit jealous. I have been wanting to do this exact project since we started TinyG 🙂
Any details might help me get mine converted too!

KeymasterCliff,
The Synthetos team is aware of this bug. We are not 100% sure where its at but I think we are close to finding it. Can you post your gcode file you are having issues with? Also the steps on how to reproduce this?
Like so,
1. I jog to some position.
2. I load this file (pasted)
3. I click run.Then,
You will notice that some behavior occurs at the start of the job. Etc?I will help me reproduce this bug.
Thanks Cliff!

KeymasterTom,
That is how jogging work in tgfx. I say make a move (a large one) then when the key is release it sends that exact byte sequence.
This is a TinyG specific thing. Grbl would not do anything with those bytes. (unless they are using the same thing as us?)
It is in the docs.
https://github.com/synthetos/TinyG/wiki/TinyG-Feedhold-and-Resume
However that does not state “how to stop a job in coolterm” which is what I think you meant by not in the docs?ril3y

KeymasterYah sorry guys! We got hit with a few large orders and it drained our normal reserve inventory. The package should be here on Thursday!

KeymasterSweet do you have a build log?
Riley
KeymasterI will test this out tonight. Thanks for the report.

KeymasterRodeoClown,
Lets continue via email. Email customerservices@synthetos.com and we can continue.

KeymasterTry restoring the defaults. $defa=1 will do it. Lets see if something got messed up.

Riley
KeymasterRodeoClown, let me verify this. This might be a bug in tgFX.

KeymasterHa! We should be getting more boards in, in the next few weeks. As far as tgFX goes I have a bunch of changes that I am working on fixing bugs and getting a stable release.
I am very interested in seeing your mill in action! Would you post some videos of tinyg tgfx and the mill doing something? That is some serious awesome!

KeymasterGrim,
Thanks! As far as your tgfx issues go, lets see what I can do. I need more info on what is going on.
Edge works fine for in tgFX. I am however not using the “exe or app” version but directly out of github and building via netbeans.
Would you give me the run down? What OS, tgfx version and firmware (edge right?) and what exactly is going on?
Perhaps we should open a new post.

KeymasterAnyone give it a go?
Riley
KeymasterYes this sounds like thermal shutdown. I would just add that the trim pots are very “fragile” so be careful not to over torque the pots while adjusting.
