I can say with confidence that “if” there is an issue in tinyG FW, it will be corrected in a version later that 438.02 (current edge), so yes, you might as well go there first.
Not much experience or knowledge of rotational parameters here, so A settings are hard to comment on without a lot of research. $atm = -1deg looks a bit strange, but of course why would that affect G2 and not G1 moves.
More and more folks headed down this path, let us know how you make out.

If you feel like hacking, maybe try this:
Edit your Gcode file so that the sequence of lines with G0/G1 commands that do work (all 6 lines) are followed by 6 lines with G0/G2 commands.
You could also try G3 commands rather than G2, in case the issue is G2 unique.

You are adding on to a VERY OLD thread (last post over 2 years ago).
I suggest you start a new thread, as all previous items in this thread are very out of date and may/may not be accurate in the current tinyG environment, FW 438.02.And be a bit more precise about what you are wanting to do; will your Gcode sender use USB for serial communications, or hardwire to internal serial port?
Have you reviewed all the Wiki Items on Gcode communications with tinyG?
As a general statement, the tinyG bootloader should be protected from improper serial commands, but sometimes bad things can happen when you make hardwire connections.

1. What type of machine do you have (screw, belt, etc)
2. If you make your “squareness” measurement 10 times, what sort of variation do you get.The underlying question is one of machine induced variation.
There are those that doubt that a ShapeOko, for example, is reproducibly accurate to .15%.

Sorry, Wiki reference is the boundary of my experience here. I don’t use Gshield, had never heard of RAMPS FD before this (looks to be a complete 6 axis driver?).
I assume you are aware of Vcc differences between Uno and Due.
It would seem likely that, given the complexity of the RAMPS FD shield, additional setup/configuration of the RAMPS FD might be necessary?Good luck, let us know how you make out.

cmcgrath5035ModeratorAlhadar: One thing I have experienced in experimenting with my Spindle (similar, not identical to yours) and controller is that occasionally the spindle does not start spinning when I ramp up the speed POT – its needs a spin from me to get going. Not sure why. The top of my spindle is a cooling fan, I assume yous is as well; spin that.

I am unfamiliar with the program ArtCAM.Suggestion #1 – Disconnect your spindle driver from tinyG. Move the Spindle driver jumper pin to the position to select the on-board POT.
Connect your Power supply to the spindle driver. Turn on the power supply, adjust the POT 0n-board the driver from low (CCW) to high(CW)setting. Does the spindle respond at all?If not, it is not a tinyG problem, not sure how we can help you.

After looking at Alhadar’s spindle package and a bit of research, I realized I needed one too; my dewalt 660; beefy, fast, is too much RPM for engarving lettering on acrylic (it is overheating the material).
So I purchased a spindle and a controller like Alhadar’s from Amazon.Comes with Zero documentation.
I found this from a different seller , which is consistent with the Inventables link I posted a couple days ago.As we suspected, the PWM input is connected to an Orient 817C opto-isolator, PWM+ to the anode thru a 600 ohm resistor, PWM- to cathode.
Note that the jumper must be properly positioned to use the PWM input rather than the POT.It will be a week or so before I can actually test it with my tinyG. I’ll be trying first the direct connection – similar to what the Inventables link displays.

And you experience it, but unfortunately it did not work then I’ve experienced on the Solid State Relay and worked with me directly without problems

I suggest you focus on this approach:
Hook it up exactly as shown, this video demonstrates that a level shift may not be needed.

Have a good look thru thisThis package look VERY similar to what you purchased.
One can imply from this that tinyG will drive the controller even though it is slightly below input range spec.By the way, do you have a separate DC supply for your spindle?
HIGHLY recommended. You will get better motor performance runing at higher voltage, plus spindle likely a source of electrical noise you don’t need connected to your tinyG- This reply was modified 10 years, 3 months ago by cmcgrath5035.
