I recently purchased a vShield v5 from the online store. I am using a sparkfun redboard and grbl v1.1. I have 3 identical steppers. When I connect any of the steppers to the X or Y axis they run smoothly (with or without load). When I connect any of the steppers to the Z axis they run erractically, stall and miss steps. I have made numerous adjustment to include acceleration, max speed, etc.
I am using shielded cable and have change it just to eliminate it as a cause.
I am baffled and need some help please.
