About the original forum
Topics marked "original forum" come from the original Synthetos forum (2011–2025). They are kept as they were, read-only, next to the discussions that started here.
What the original forum is
Every published topic and reply from the original Synthetos forum was imported once and is kept at its old address, so links from elsewhere still work. Its topics show up in listings and search with the new discussions, tagged "original forum". They cannot be edited.
Why names may look different
Posts from the original forum show the display name their author used there, as it was. Those names are not GitHub accounts: the same person may appear under an old name on original-forum topics and under their GitHub name on new discussions.
Signing in
Old forum passwords no longer work. Asking a question or replying needs a GitHub account for now.
Claiming an old account
If you posted on the original forum, you will be able to link your old name to your GitHub account once account claims open. Until then there is nothing you need to do: your old posts stay where they are.
