About Synthetos

Synthetos.com is a hacking / building / learning / doing website run by Riley Porter and Alden Hart, dedicated to projects of the digital age.

Syn-thet-os in ancient Greek means complex. Synthetos.com is home to complex and inventive ideas for the hacker and maker community.

What we make

Our motion control work started in early 2010, when TinyG was forked from grbl to build a 6-axis controller with jerk-controlled acceleration planning. Today we design and sell the TinyG CNC controller and the gShield Arduino CNC shield, and we develop the open-source g2core firmware, which runs ShopBot's FabMo-based tools and has been used in machines from Bantam Tools, Dorna and others. All of our firmware is open source on GitHub.

Where we are

All products ship from Southwest Florida, USA.
