Testing limit switches... unsuccessfully

So far things are well with my Zen Toolworks 7x7x2 and this board. But when I decided to add limit switches I ran into a snag after I enabled limit/homing switches with the following:

$xSM=2

$ySM=2

$zSM=2

The moment I send the G-Code to move the z-axis (e.g. g00 z10), the board enters into a non-stop reset cycle. When I press in the z-min and z-max switches then things go back to normal (until I tell it to move the axis again). I wired the switches as normally open and have tested them extensively with a continuity tester with no reported ill-affects. I don't think it is a wiring problem. Is there something else I need to do here? Is the Z-axis set up for normally-closed? Is this a bug in the version shipped (0.93) that was resolved more recently?

Thanks in advance!

Synthetos #1434

Brendan,

Try setting the switches to 1 instead of 2 - homing only, no limits. See what this does.

There is no bug fix related to this issue, but can you tell me what firmware build you are running? The latest build is 338.12 / revision 0.93

#### TinyG version 0.93 (build 338.12) "Fanny Pack" ####

I don't see any ill-effects when I use switch mode 1. I haven't tried any homing yet though, just playing around with g00 commands while I test out the machine. Do I need to put pull-up resistors or anything on the switches? Not that it should matter but these are the ones I wired up.

Thanks Alden!!
