control fan speed

I have a rather noisy 60mm 12V fan connected to my TinyG on J11.

Any thoughts how I could reduce it's speed? Can't seem to find any options in the config file.

You can reduce the speed using a purpose built case fan speed controller or by reducing the voltage down - a half-watt resistor (or a couple of quarter watt in parallel) will do it.

A 50 ohm resistor would be a good place to start. Make sure you monitor how warm the resistor(s) get for the first few minutes until you’re sure it’s not going to burst into flames.

Are you sure that J12 is configured to output 12V on J11?

The most effective way to control fan speeds is a pwm controller in series with the fan.

Of course, it might be more cost effective to buy a quieter fan
