    I just purchased an OpenBuild C-Beam XL and am going to try and wire it up using the TinyG as my Driver, controller configuration. I was wondering if there are any good wiring diagrams for me to look into? I purchased the TinyG, DQ542MA Stepper Motor Driver (Which I am not sure 100% if I need or if I do use them what advantage they will have), Micro Limit Switch Kit with Mounting Plates, a Mouser Power Supplies 349.2W 36V 9.7A 115Vac or 230Vac. 100ft of 300V AC, 18 Gauge, BLK, wire.

    I was wondering If anyone has any tips, techniques, help on getting it wired up efficiently, connector pieces, things to not do, etc? Thanks for any help. Apologies, but I also haven’t trolled this forum for additional help, which Ill do later today, if there is a similar thread.

    The tinyG wiki at https://github.com/synthetos/TinyG/wiki/ has some general wiring recommendations but machine sizes and your ultimate set-up goals dictate details.
    The DQ542MA can be interfaced to tinyG, bypassing the on-board stepper drivers. If you want to increase the current drive capability to your steppers and improve thermal handling, the DQ542MA will do that for you, at a cost you have already paid out, from your description.
    Interfacing tinyG 3.3v logic directly to external opto-isolated units like the DQ542MA can lead to marginal drive conditions. You might consider adding some buffer and level translation logic such as shown in this wiki item https://github.com/synthetos/g2/wiki/G2core-on-DUE—External-Interfaces

    Thanks I will take a look. I just received my hardware, after that I need to plan out and tackle my Electrical. The links look like they will help out a lot.

    If you anticipate doing a lot of projects like this, consider investing in some ferrules and a tool.
    For exaample


    Makes terminating stranded wire in screw terminals much cleaner and fool proof

    Smart, I will I only purchased terminations for the powersupply. Ill look into these
