    My system uses G28.4 for probing*. I get the position where the probing process ends. I’d like to know where the probe was when the switch triggered. I know the speed and jerk values. I guess my question is really “From jerk and speed, how long is the deceleration distance?”

    (*The G28 is from old times. I could change to G38, but the question would still be the same. My program can apply the distance equation to the latch clearance travel also.)

    I’ll suggest you post this question to https://github.com/synthetos/TinyG/issues

    I see no obvious way to generate a status at the precise instant contact is made.
    Have you looked at the PCB Board leveling Macro in Chilipeppr?
    I would seem that that macro has figured how how to methodically gather the data you are looking for.
