In attempt to “fix” I can’t remember exactly what, I mistakenly set $IL=1. Now I’m unable to tell my v7 TinyG to do anything, as it now ignores any attempt to finish a line of text. I’m now in the assumption that my only way out of this situation is to erase the stored settings in its eeprom. But I don’t yet have a programmer capable of PDI.

So in the meantime, I thought I’d ask here (after digging/searching for clues to no avail) about the purpose or unsetting of $IL. (That is, beyond the literal meaning of the setting.)

    Thanks,

Sounds like your terminal program only sends CR when you press enter. There probably is a setting that controls if the terminal sends CR, LF or both. IF not, find a terminal program that can do this, most can. (I’m using PuTTY, it has this setting – I think, the wording is kind of obscure.)
