Hi (again). I am having problems with my Y axis calibration. No matter what I set the $tr (travel per revolution) variable to it remains (accurately) stuck at 2 rotations per mm. The machine (Proxxon MF70) runs at 1mm per revolution on all three axes. I can alter the $tr variables for the other motors with the expected outcomes and changing the Y motor to a different motor driver on the tinyg board results in the same effect. All my motors are the same type.
It may or may not be relevant that the Y axis on homing (min) sometimes does not back off after triggering and if a Y movement command is issued following this the motor runs until the board is reset.
Reflashing with the latest firmware 440.16 has not solved the problem and it can be reproduced in coolterm and chillipeppr.
Any ideas where to go from here much appreciated

Now that’s strange. Been dealing with this problem all day, seems to have spontaneously fixed itself?? Thanks for reading.

There is a confirmed bug in 440.16 (maybe 440.15 and 440.14 as well) that requires a tinyG reset to use a new $_tr (or $_sa) value. Since it is a bug, perhaps there is another mechanism that causes the new value to become active, explaining your “spontaneous” fix.

Keep an eye out here for fix :
