    Changing my z axis to a Tr8*8-4.

    My previous TinyG z axis setup was:
    [4sa] m4 step angle 1.800 deg
    [4tr] m4 travel per revolution 2.5400 mm
    [4mi] m4 microsteps 8 [1,2,4,8]

    What should my new 4tr be??

    I believe the pitch on 8MM rod is 1.25mm.

    Most folks use
    $4tr=1.25
    and
    $4mi=4

    Mine is 2mm..

    Tr8*8-4
    Lead Screw Diameter ∅ 8 (mm)
    Pitch 2 (mm)
    Lead 8 (mm)

    Thanks, good to know different ones out there.
    When Pitch is provided, $_tr = Pitch

    One has to do math when TPI provided
