I’m using the TinyG with the LitePLacer pick and place machine. Originally, when homing, the z-axis moved in the wrong direction (regular commands to the z-axis motor resulted in motion in the correct direction). At this point, all other aspects of the TinyG board worked as expected.

I used the TinyG updater to update to the 440.20 firmware, which seems to have caused more issues. A signal for motion in the positive x direction results in movement in the negative x direction (and vice versa). A signal for motion in the positive y direction results in motion in the negative y direction and motion in the positive z direction (and vice versa). A signal for motion in the z direction results in corresponding rotation of the a-axis. A signal for motion of the a-axis sends power to the y and a-axis motors, but causes no motion.

The wiring has not been changed since before the problem arose, so it’s most definitely something weird with the software… (unless I somehow fried part of the board). If anyone has any advice or experience to share pertaining to this sort of issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to my TinyG’s configuration settings (from the $$ command)

    Addendum:

I forgot to mention, I’m controlling the TinyG via Chilipeppr and CoolTerm from a windows 10 machine. Both control methods produced the same results.

I am not at all familiar with the LitePlacer.

You have no motors mapped to A axis, what I see is XYYrZ 3 axis mapping.
    Is that what you want?

The parameters appear to be for a ShapeOko2-like machine.
I took a quick look at the website, see that tinyG was the original hardware.

I am guessing you need to dig up the original LitePlacer parameter file.

Sorry for the late reply, I don’t visit this forum regularly. This file has the results of correct LitePlacer parameters (the $$ dump): http://www.liteplacer.com/Downloads/Goodsettings.txt

Can it be assumed that LitePlacer works well with FW 440.20 as well?
