I would like to be able to control TinyG using Mach 3. Any chance of a plugin for Mach 3 or other solution? TinyG is a great little controller but with no decent software it’s just a toy. tgFX had promise but was cancelled.
Chilipeppr is not much better. We need to be able use Mach 3 or an equivalent.
Could you perhaps describe the top 3 to 5 things about ChiliPeppr to get it to be workable like Mach 3 is for CNC work? I think this type of feedback would help the community get tools like ChiliPeppr closer to what folks really want/need.
Well, I’m not Christine, but I’d have to say offline use is the number one thing i’m looking for in ChiliPeppr.
The computer I use for sending commands to the TinyG and CNC machine doesn’t get connected to the internet. Its a very common configuration with people running CNC machines.
Ditto the internet is a major minus. the other is that their isn’t a spindle speed override in CP and that for me when I press feedhold I have to wait for the buffer to empty despite having the two com port drivers installed. waiting for one command is bad enough 32 is just horrible.
