Gentlemen. it is awkward second post about problem, but it isn’t working. I’m not sure neither new Windows engine, or my simple netbook Acer C60+4G, but most likely Microsoft is guilty -it easy way to blame somebody this time (kidding)
Anybody used TinyG for ChiliPeppr GUI under Windows 10 Insider Preview?
Let’s weep together, or show me the hope please.
Thank you.
PS: it’s working under Win 8.1 on a few desktop system with any other same conditions. In case Win 10, ChiliPeppr couldn’t recognize serial port and my TinyG.- This topic was modified 9 years, 4 months ago by Artmaster.
July 13, 2015 at 7:30 am #7992cmcgrath5035ModeratorWhat browser are you using under Win10?
Does Win10 support the necessary FTDI device driver?
July 13, 2015 at 3:16 pm #7993ArtmasterMemberI being used IE11. TinyG was load drivers and good working for CoolTerm_Win under Win10
July 13, 2015 at 10:09 pm #7995cmcgrath5035ModeratorYou might try Chrome Browser, but that would not explain your CoolTerm issues.
I have seen no other helpful Win10 traffic – ?July 14, 2015 at 2:40 am #7997ArtmasterMemberI won’t install Chrome yet. I try to use new solution from MS as long as I can. I don’t understand your question about Win 10 traffic, sorry.
July 14, 2015 at 9:48 am #7998cmcgrath5035ModeratorI assume you have used IE10 or 11 for CP successfully with prior Win platforms.
I was sort of under the impression IE did not play well with CP, but no personal experience. And, as already offered, that would not resolve your CoolTerm issue. That was not really a question – rather a statement that I have not seen others successfully (or unsuccessfully ) trying to follow your path, and I am sort of out of ideas and don’t know what else to suggest (puzzled icon).
Your Subject is clear, perhaps someone else will see it, stop by and be able to suggest something.
July 15, 2015 at 10:03 am #8007ArtmasterMemberThank you very much for your help. You’re righ – the problem was IE11. Under Win 8.1 and IE11 TinyG for CP not working too.
Under Win 10 IE11 and Spartan – not working. but Win10 and Chrome – its working well.
Problem could be of serial-port-json-server – I don’t know. More over, I think we can force and tune IE to support this service, but it isn’t my job. I think it’s problem developers of CP, TinyG and serial-port-json-server team. And diode and 2.5 A for motor limit, etc.
Ok. Now I know more about this software. Let’s go on- This reply was modified 9 years, 4 months ago by Artmaster.
July 15, 2015 at 11:13 am #8009cmcgrath5035ModeratorI believe the issue is that IE1x is way behind Chrome in it’s implementation of JavaScript support (never MS’ favorite) and CP uses leading edge JavaScript.
SPJS should not be browser dependent, it is a native compiled app written in GO, a C derivative developed by Google.
keep us up to date on yourfindings
