    Hi all.

New TinyG on a ShapeOko working fine. Stopped a program with the reset button on the TinyG. Now I cannot connect to cool term. Get warning/error

A Serial Port Error Occurred   104: Stop Bit received too early.

    Any ideas??

Did you remember to set the baud rate at 115200?

Yep it all was working fine.

Also if I disable error checking in the receive section of cool term, it will try and load, but it gets into an endless loop of trying to read eprom.

Try reinstalling both Cool term and  Download the Virtual Comm Port (VCP) driver for OSX from the FTDI Drivers Page. and reinstall that.

    Reboot computer.

This happened to me once and never again. Not sure if it is a bug or fluke.

The above solution didn’t work for me. Instead, oddly, moving the motors and such manually seemed to do the trick. In retrospect, I think I had a limit switch closed.

I see this lots of times after aborted jobs.  I’ve figured out if I reset the board again and click on Connection>Flush Serial Port in CoolTerm then I can reconnect without it happening.   Also many times Aborting a job by hitting reset in CoolTerm will lock up CoolTerm so bad I can’t even close it through the task manager in XP.  What I found out is if I unplug the USB cable CoolTerm will become responsive again.
