    Dear users of Tinyg,

I am very new, so please forgive my ignorance. I am currently working on homing. My issue is the following:

I have set up the motor1 variables so that a command (“g1 f100 x50” when $posx=0.00mm ) moves the x axis carriage from left-to-right (when facing the machine front). This is my desired behavior and I think also the typical direction orientation.

However when I use the command “g28.2 x0” the carriage also moves from left-to-right. My expectation is that homing for the x-axis should move the carriage to the zero position limit/homing switch.

I have my machine set up so that the limit/homing switch for the x axis is on the left side of the machine, the y axis switch will trigger at the front most rail of the machine, and the z axis switch is at the maximum height of the machine.

Every axis homing command that I give causes the respective axis to move in the opposite direction of the homing switch. What do I not understand about this procedure?

    Thanks for any help.

    Have you reviewed ?

Next step would be to post your settings ($$dump) to a cloud drive, post the URL here

I had read that page. I am not sure what I fixed (unfortunately) however now everything is working as expected. Thanks for the help.

Sometimes a tinyG restart (by reset button or by power cycle) clears up transient issues.
