    Hello all!

above and below the driver chips (grbl shield version 2) there is an area of 3 by 4 vias each. We would like to drill (3 mm) holes there to mount/hold a heat sink (screw heads on the bottom side of the board). My questions are now:
    – are there any circuit lines one might destroy with the holes?
    – if at all, are/is the vias/the back area connected to something different than ground (sorry, could not measure this yet 🙂 )?

Thank you very much in advance for your answers!

    Best wishes

    Markus

The board is double sided so there are no interior traces. Everything you are going to cut through you can see on the top and bottom. Both top and bottom cooling planes are ground, so they can touch electrically. It goes without saying – be careful.
