My gShield is on the way and I have been reading up on it in the Wiki, but still have some questions.

Is it permissible to use fewer than three axes with the gShield? For instance, if I want to control my lathe, I would only be using two axes. Will this damage the third to leave the axis unconnected or do I need to connect a dummy load to the output?

Also, when it is all connected and the shield is plugged into the Uno, do I power the Uno first and then apply the motor voltage or can I power them in any order?

    Thanks,
    Jamie
