Working on setting up my machine, all other axis home correctly except for Y. The machine moves back, hits the switch and moves forward at latch speed until the switch opens, then continues on at search speed.

I only have homing switches, wired NC with shielded cables.

    Any help is appreciated.

Homing is typically to Xmin, Ymin, Zmax, I believe.
You have Ymax switch set as homing – is that really what you want?
Is it the Ymax switch that is misbehaving?

Also – suggest $_pm = 2 rather than =3, all motors(comment should be unrelated to homing)

That’s the direction I would prefer it to home to. If it has to go to Y min, then I can reset it to that.

What happens now is that it homes to Z max and X min perfectly. When it goes to Y max, it trips the switch reverses away from the switch at latch speed. When the switch releases it increases back to search speed.

That’s what makes me think it’s something with my configuration. The board is registering the state change on the switch, it just doesn’t stop.

    I’ll change $_pm now. Thanks 🙂
