I purchased this board set for my cnc router. I cannot get any power to the motors, not do I get any green lights from the gshield. here’s what I have done…
-I have 24volts going to the gshield, pos to pos/neg to neg
    -I have x, y, and z motors wired in to the gshield (correctly – red A1, Green A2, Black B1, White B2) (red/grn coil 1, blk/wht coil 2)
-Gshield plugged in to the Seeduino – Seeduino set for 5v – Seeduino plugged in to Computer via USB
-Seeduino flashed with grbl v0.9 HEX (succeeded)

    POWERING UP
    -Seeduino lights up
-Gshield blue light lights up (nice and bright and solid on)

    START GRBL CONTROLLER v3.6.1
-Connect – version, $$, and all settings are displayed
-load a test file (the “hello world” file that is supplied with grbl)
-GRBL Controller shows code moving from line to line as if the cnc were making its cuts, however, no movement from motors. Looking at the gshield, I see no green lights, only the blue light is lit

    NOTES
-I have disabled homing, hard limits, and soft limits
-If I move the axis by hand, the green lights light up (for each of the axis that I move)
-I have tried issuing a large movement (G0x1000) and adj the pots-still nothing

I am wondering if I might have a bad gshield??? or might I be missing something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey there,
Check digital pin 8, which is the enable (when low) pin for the stepper drivers. If pin 8 is always high, then the steppers will never move under computer command. If you turn the motors by hand, then the lights will enable due to the back emf. I suspect pin 8 is high.

I think I cross posted to the wrong thread. The seeeduino is not an Arduino R3 pinout and the power connector is different. See here for guidance.
