In a project I’m working on, I wish to generate g-code live on an arduino mega, and intend to pass this data directly (via a voltage level shifter) into the pin0/pin1 of the due. This works totally fine on GRBL/uno but I read that the due uses a native USB solution, so does not actually take g-code data from pin0/pin1.

I have some moderate experience with programing, and could likely hack around a little with the code if I needed to.

Does anyone know for sure what the actual situation is? how difficult the modification would be, or how best to go about modifying it for this purpose?

GRBL isn’t really suitable for my project as I will end up with non-Cartesian geometry, 4+ motors and S-Curve acceleration is quite important too.

OK, you are Due/G2 focussed already.

You are likely to get more help on this at

The devs hang out there and may have suggestions
