    After being away for some time and having the power off on my CNC I was unable to power the machine back on sucessfully.

    The TinyG board has a continuous flashing SPINDIR – POWER LED. I am unable to connect to the board either using ,y MAC and Cool term – or via my Raspberry Pi and the Serial Port JSON server for chillpeppr as a serial port is not detected.

    After some reading it suggests that the board is stuck in boot loader mode.

    IS the next course of action to send the board back or to obtain a programmer?

    The Firmware Updater did not work as it did not detect a serial port connection similar to other interfaces tried.

    If you can’t update via the cli method with avrdude,

    then there is a good chance your bootloader is missing, overwritten by something. The most common cause is dragging a binary file onto the CP gcode widget in error.

    Anyway, to recover you need a programmer or contact the Synthetos folks at

    and send it to them for reflashing
