    How about a tinyg module that runs your software, but allows me at attach external motor controllers/drivers so I can use bigger motors. Output step/direction/enable that I can use with my own drivers. It would also be a great option for folks concerned that if a driver onboard fails, the board must be replaced.

    There are pin headers on tinyGV8 that make these signals available.

    You can interface up to 6 motor drivers if you run tinyG2 on an Arduino DUE.

    Be mindful that both tinyG and DUE are 3.3V logic – you may need logic level translators to interface external drivers.
