    Hello all,

I am very new to this and attempting to build my first CNC machine.

I received my TinyG a few days ago and my NES-350-25 350.4W 24V 14.6A power supply to day. No motors yet.

My question is….What are the recommended cables i should purchase for 1. connecting the powersupply to the TinyG and 2. the cables I should use for connecting the TinyG to the motors.

Also, is there a way to search this forum, tried looking to see if this question has been asked, but wasnt able to find anything.

    Thanks in advance,

Power supply to tiny g should just be some stranded 14-16 AWG or so regular wire..

For the steppers shielded wiring is a MUST as well as limit switch wiring if used..
I used some 22AWG x 4 conductor shielded cable with drain wire from homedepot.. (available by the foot in their electrical aisle.. It had a gray pvc insulation..
Grounding is VERY important.. Ground each of the shields/drain wires (typically at the tiny G end ONLY)

Some additional good reading here http://www.cnccookbook.com/CCCNCNoise.html

Awesome! Hooked up the power to the TinyG, tested with CoolTerm and all was perfect…

Now just gotta buy the wire and the motors! Thats for the info.
