MemberI’m trying to reply to the topic “Wiring an NPN NC inductive proximity switch” but whichever browser I’m using it is not taking in account my reply. Is there an issue with the forum’s software ?

ModeratorAre you perhaps not logged in?
If you are, try logging out and back in again.
Forum tool working for meFebruary 12, 2017 at 8:56 am #10236pfelecan
MemberI am logged otherwise how could I start a new topic?
Anyhow, I logged out and in again to no avail: my submission/reply is not taken into account. I never thought that I have black cats in my ancestry.
Maybe should I start a new topic ?February 12, 2017 at 11:43 am #10237pfelecan
MemberNow, if I try to resubmit my reply it says:
ERROR: Duplicate reply detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!
IMHO there is something wrong as if it recorded one of my previous and identical replies but it doesn’t show up in the topic.
Well, I’ll try tomorrow.

ModeratorOn occasion I have had ‘login’ status change while preparing a reply.
Just start a new topic, mention old thread for continuity

MemberNow, even creating a topic is not working anymore but when I retry to create a topic it gives me the same error as previously mentioned. IMHO the data store has an issue.

ModeratorI does appear, however, that you can now reply to threads.
Likely some sort of spam protection filter, but that is a WAG on my part. For debug purposes, what OS and what browser do you normally use to interface with the forum?

MemberI can reply only to a topic which is less than 2 pages.
My browser is Firefox 45.7 running on Debian Strech (testing).

MemberI succeeded to answer to the original topic using a Chrome 55.0.2883.91 on Android 6.0.1 but after 3 answers I’m stuck on this one also.

ModeratorI do 99% of my forum work using Chrome (“most recent”) on Linux (openSUSE).
I don’t think I have ever seen this issue, but as moderator I do have some expanded powers (few of which I really understand).Given you varied experience, I am not sure what to raise with Word Press, the forum tool provider.
I am wondering if your experience is browser cache related.
When you hit it again, try ‘clearing cache’ and reloading the browser page – make a difference? -
