This shows a TinyG-powered stepper with a planetary gearbox. The video is slowed to 1/32 of normal speed.
Notice the motor reverses direction slightly about half way through. It is a simple G0Y100 movement.
Any idea why? Is this slop in the gearbox? Is this common or normal?
not slop..not normal IMO
Didn’t you already have a post about this and said it only happened with one of the steppers you had and not the others or something?
It seems to only happen with this one geared motor. So, not a TinyG problem.
But when slowed it down to 1/32, I was amazed by the size of the glitch.
Factory in China says they will replace it.
The spastic motor problem isn’t the motor. I see it happen on other motors.
This only happens as it begins to turn, or as it slows to a stop.
The motor actually rotates in the opposite direction for a tiny instant.
