    Here is a shot in the dark but could be very useful. Would it be possible for the software gurus on this forum to write a widget that will convert your cnc from a cutter to a measuring device to allow a user to revers engineer a part.

    EG. Place original part on machine bed – take measurements in 3d edit in 3d editor and reproduce part. Simples 🙂

    If I can figure out how to, I’ll move this thread to Feature Request.

    Interesting idea, more of an application layer concept than motion control focus, let’s see what others think.
