    Hi guys,

I’ve been having some problems with a project and it’s driving me absolutely crazy. I’m not sure if this is the best place to post it, but I’m desperate at this point.

Machine is an X-Carve-ish (Upgraded from Shapeoko 2). V-Carve Pro for the code, running a TinyG and Chilipeppr.

I have a Christmas order for an inlay piece and for some reason, the machine isn’t following the code. The piece is the Philippine Flag, which has 3 stars and a sunburst. The problem I’m having is carving the stars. In V-Carve, it’ll run correctly and show correctly in the preview and in the toolpaths, but when carving, it lops off 1 or 2 of the legs of the star, somewhat randomly. I started labeling them version numbers for the different things I’ve tried. V4 did a good clearance run, but the v-bit run lopped off the bottom two legs. V5 lopped off one leg on the clearance pass. All I changed was the start depth and flat depth. Other thing’s I’ve tried were redrawing the vectors, using a different vector source, sizing, etc. I’m at a loss here. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Here is a link to the documents

    Thanks,

    Brian
