    Hello,

Im trying to enable auto level feature within Chilipepr and have wired a switch between ground and zmin. All switches are disabled except zmin. When starting probing on first touch it freezes the board and SpDir starts blinking.

    Any ideas what is happening?

A quick guess, you enabled Zmin as a NO limit switch.
You don’thave to do that, in fact acts as a limit, sends tinyG into alarm, SpinDir flashing

Just connect your wires to the workpiece and bit and initiate probe.
TinyG handles the conditioning of the input port to which Zmin connects and reacts to the probe action.

Do I need to change the switch type mode from NO to NC with $st?

    I don’t believe so.
The probe command looks for a change of state on the Zmin port to trigger the ‘touch event’ so that $st set for limit and homing switches can be NC or NO.

I am assuming your FW is $fb=440.20

I am not an autolevel user, this is how I have read the discussion traffic.
Run a test first – ground your workpiece, hold the clip lead for the tool in you hand, start the process, Z starts slowly down, just touch the cliplead to the work surface. Z should stop and report the level found.
