    Alden or Riley,
I have a TinyG v8 with firmware build 380.08. I’m trying to use inches on the Y-axis (motor 2) and degrees on the A-axis (motor 4), so I’m running in inch mode. I was having lots of trouble getting the A-axis to move as far or as fast as commanded by a factor of about 25, and the position reported was also low by a factor of 25.4 (which tipped me off to the conversion thing). I have 100:1 gear reduction, so I set $4tr to 3.6 inches (yes, the Wiki says degrees, but the TinyG says inches). When I enter G21 to switch to mm mode, $4tr is reported as 91.44 mm (should be degrees). When I set $4tr to 3.6 in mm mode, the A-axis works as expected.

So it appears that in inches mode, the TinyG applies the mm to inch conversion factor to the rotational parameters as well. Now that I know the problem, I can sort-of work around it, but it would be much better if this were fixed.

Is this a known bug? Any plans to fix it?

    Thanks,
    Ben

Thanks for pointing this out. It does indeed look like it should work differently. We will add it to the known bugs for fixing.
