    I have tried to setup the grblsheild to be a little more peppy and I am not sure about settings for this I assume that the motors are affected by the following parameters:

    $3=50
    $4=500.00
    $5=1000.00
    $6=224
    $7=25
    $8=100

    Could it also be that the trim pots are not set correctly?

    Z is setup for microstepping and it seems faster than the x and y.

    What parameters will increase the speed of movement and what are reasonable max values?

    Also I am using NEMA 23 size motor running newest version of gbrl. I am using 24 volt supply and 2.7 amp per phase, 2 volts.. I have a larger bed so it moves slow, I am not missing steps, but seem to move slower than the NEMA 17 Shapeoko I have viewed on YouTube.. I have played with the parameters do I need to shut down and re apply power or do all parameters take affect immediately?
