I just received my v7 board. I am excited to get going with my project, but I have a question about the power supply before I attempt to hook it up the first time. The v7 wiki pictures and instructions don’t match my board. The wiki shows two screw terminals for 5v right next to the motor supply terminals. My board has only two screw terminals for power input and they are labeled Vmot and gnd. That’s pretty clear, but I am not sure if I need to supply 5v somewhere else. Or perhaps the v7 boards are drawing that from USB or regulated down from the motor supply?

Sorry about that. BTW. I THOUGHT I had replied to this.  Apparently not!

There was a mix-up on my part on the documentation.  I though it was done.  It was not.  I took a first pass on this tonight.  Please keep in mind that it is not 100% done.  But the wiring parts should be fine to get you powered up!

Just remember to read the fan section very carefully.  If its not clear please let me know.  I want to make sure that is a “no brainer”.

Thanks for your help. I have it working now. Good work on the v7 board, BTW. It’s very a elegant design.

    Cheers,

    Chris

We would love to see what you do with it.  Please post something in the projects section or reply here!  We can try to feature it in the blog.
