I have a Tiny G on a homebuilt CNC router that I bult a little over a year ago. I have used it many times in the last year. Today I plugged it in, the blue light comes on but no other lights at all.

I do a get a com port on the PC but nothing ever comes over it. I checked voltages on the board they all look good.

I’m not sure whether this means the processor is fried or whether it has lost the firmware.

At this point it doesn’t look like there is a bootloader. I do have a J-link programmer if that will help and various JTAG and SPI programmers.

Is there any hope for this board or should I just buy a new one?

    Thanks,

    John S.

If voltages are good, it is highly likely you overwrote the tinyG firmware with random garbage. Sending a binary file to tinyG rather than a proper text Gcode file is the likely culprit and unfortunately a common error.

Check out https://github.com/synthetos/TinyG/wiki/Troubleshooting and read through the entire wiki.
